An electrical malfunction started in the attic of this home in Horse Creek, TN. The fire ignited the insulation and the smoke detectors went off alerting the home owner of the fire.

These trusses looked as if they needed replacing. However, a lot of the wood just needed some cleaning to be restored. They also needed to be deodorized to remove the smoke smell form the wood. Wood is porous and will expand with heat which takes in odor particles, no matter how small. Removing the smell is a vital step in restoring a home to preloss conditions.
